President's Message
I believe 2010 will be a great year for us as speakers as the economy gets back in shape. The downturn in the economy has had some positive spin-offs, and one of them is our message must have relevance and add real value.
And to echo Ron Coleman, our Past President, the spirit of CAPS is about learning from our fellow members and giving and receiving feedback to each other in order to hone our skills as we speak, facilitate, coach and consult with our clients. I believe a large portion of our success has and will come from the relationships we craft at CAPS, both at a Chapter and a National level.
Our speaking competencies as members of CAPS are: Expertise, Eloquence, Enterprise, and Ethics. With this in mind, CAPS Vancouver will be creating opportunities to help you build your eloquence, expertise and enterprise and to be mindful of the ethics embedded in the CAPS brand.
We have a new venue for 2010 - the YWCA - 535 Hornby Street Vancouver BC, V6C 2E8.
We have wonderful leadership team in place for 2010. Look at the CAPS Calendar or www.CAPSVancouver.com for our upcoming education, power-partner mentoring and storytelling sessions.
