The Certified Speaking Professional designation is earned through a combination of professional association, professional education, professional performance and professional business management standards.
Certified Speaking Professional (CSP)
This is the only earned designation for professional speakers. This designation signifies exceptional achievement through a proven record of speaking experience. These speakers must meet rigorous requirements for a number of fee-paid presentations, number of clients, continuing education credits and consecutive years of business experience. This designation is granted under the auspices of the International Federation for Professional Speakers (5,000+ members in 27 countries) and only 43 Canadians (as of March 2010) have achieved this designation for speaking excellence thus far.
