	Professional
			Criteria: This is the highest level of membership in CAPS. Professional Membership: Any individual shall be eligible for Professional membership in the Association who: Has received monetary payments for at least twenty (20) presentations within the 12 months prior to application; or has given at least twenty (20) presentations to live audiences as part of a salaried position within the 12 months prior to application; or has made at least $25,000 giving presentations within 12 months prior to application.; Has a reputation for integrity and sound character; Agrees, upon acceptance of application for membership, to abide by the by-laws, the Association’s Code of Professional Ethics and such other rules or regulations as may be adopted from time to time; Meets such other requirements as may be established by the Board of Directors.
	Candidate
			Candidate Membership Any individual shall be eligible for Candidate membership in the Association who: Earns a portion of his or her income from at least 10 fee-paid engagements with no time limit; Has a reputation for integrity and sound character; Agrees, upon acceptance of application for membership, to abide by the by-laws, the Association’s Code of Professional Ethics and such other rules or regulations as may be adopted from time to time; and Meets such other requirements as may be established by the Board of Directors. Any individual can remain a Candidate member for a period of twenty-four months, after which he or she must become a professional member
	Supplier
			Supplier Membership Any individual or company shall be eligible for Supplier membership in the Association who: Is a Speakers Bureau(s); or a Supplier of materials, equipment or services to professional speakers; Has a reputation for integrity and sound character; Agrees, upon acceptance of application for membership, to abide by the by-laws, the Association’s Code of Professional Ethics, and such other rules and regulations as may be adopted from time to time; and Meets such other requirements as may be established by the Board of Directors.
	Expatriate
			Expatriate Membership Any individual shall be eligible for Expatriate membership in the Association who: Qualifies for professional membership category status; Is a Canadian citizen; Lives outside of Canada; Has a reputation for integrity and sound character; Agrees, upon acceptance of application for membership, to abide by the by-laws, the Association’s Code of Professional Ethics, and such other rules and regulations as may be adopted from time to time; and Meets such other requirements as may be established by the Board of Directors.
